Corkscrews AKA Bantu Knots

When I was younger, my mom would do my hair in what she called corkscrews. When I started diving into the world of the online natural hair community, I realized that these corkscrews were called bantu knots. To this day, my mom still loves doing my hair, so I let her, and it’s just like the old days (except without the crying). I washed my hair with Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo and Conditioner, used Kimmaytube leave-in with KCKT, JBCO, aloe vera juice, and jojoba oil. When it dried, I pulled the set apart with hands of shea butter and coconut oil. This is gonna be my go-to style for awhile.
